简　　介

富裕的中產階級女主人決定競選市長，男主人從不支持，留學美國多年回來的兒子與異父異母的妹妹（其實算是家族裡的表妹）相愛了。接著一封揭發這個家族三代以來的罪行（前納粹份子，謀殺父親，謀殺配偶，亂倫）的告密信件擾亂這養尊處優的家庭。罪惡如同癌症基因，遺傳到每一代成員。叢林般的客廳，讓身處其中的每個人，仿如流著惡露之華美植物。夏布洛冷靜批判中產階級的鏡位，讓外在言行世故優雅的人類，現出人性的幽暗內在。
